Forg
Mac-Android clipboard sync and file transfer.
Built by an iPhone user who wanted seamless Mac integration for Android. Copy text on your phone, paste it on your Mac. Send files without cables or cloud services.
Open source. Free to use.
The problem
Apple's ecosystem makes clipboard and file sharing between iPhone and Mac effortless. Android users don't get that experience.
Existing solutions require cloud accounts, subscriptions, or complex setup. Your clipboard data passes through third-party servers.
Forg keeps it simple: local network, direct device-to-device, no middleman.
How it works
Clipboard Sync
Copy on your phone, paste on your Mac. Text, links, images.
File Transfer
Send files between Android and Mac without cables or cloud uploads.
Local Network
Works over your local WiFi. Your data never leaves your network.
Privacy First
No accounts. No cloud. No tracking. Just device-to-device transfer.

Platforms
Known limitations
- Connection can drop when switching networks
- Large file transfers are slow (working on it)
- Requires both devices on the same WiFi network
- macOS only for now (no Windows)
Roadmap
Open source
Forg is open source. You can inspect the code, report issues, or contribute. No hidden data collection. What you see is what you get.
